Nan has given talks on a variety of topics related to fashion, particularly around themes of fashion history, travel and rationing during WWII.

She has spoken to various groups in California including the Art Deco Society of Sacramento, Rotary of Vacaville, PEO groups, the Speaker Series at Stonegate Country Club and Bernard Osher Lifelong Learning Institute of Davis, Monterey, Sonoma and Palm Desert Campus - San Bernardino.
